Author: Attached is the flyer for the Bicycle Safety Rodeo which will be held on Sunday, September 18th from 11am to 2pm and will again be held at Target on Plain Street in Lowell.
This is an annual event and is sponsored this year by the Lowell Police Department, Lowell ENCARE Nurses from Lowell General Hospital, the Greater Lowell Kiwanis Club, Trinity Ambulance, Target Stores and other sponsors.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children and their bicycles and attend. In the interest of promoting bicycle helmet use and preventing injury, last year, a total of 122 Bicycle Helmets were given away to children in need of helmets! In addition, our sponsors and donors allowed a total of 15 new bicycles to be raffled off and given to children free of charge! We hope to have a similar good year in 2011!
