LOWELL, MA (December 10, 2012) –  In a ceremony held on December 7^th  three Lowell Police Dispatches graduated from the Massachusetts Public Safety Communications Academy  in Maynard Massachusetts. The 5 week course that consist of (40) classroom hours per week teach Advanced Law Enforcement Dispatch, Advanced Fire Dispatch, CPR, Emergency Medical Dispatch, E911 Equipment Training, NIMS/ICS, Handling  Calls for Missing/Exploited Children, Call Simulation and Domestic Violence calls.

18 Police Departments from across the state participated. TheLowelldispatchers that graduated are Clifford Dunning, Barry Gannon and Sernelle Williams.  All three dispatchers are working full time in our communications center.

Superintendent of Police Kenneth Lavallee, Captain James McPadden and Chuck Ouellette who oversee the communications center were on hand for the graduation.
